While in law school, I helped found the University of Pennsylvania Law School Second Amendment Society. That student group advocated the right to keep and bear arms, as secured by the United States Constitution. Unfortunately, that group went inactive after the core group graduated in 1997.
My favorite TV show was Sledge Hammer. I couldn't believe they took this show off the air-- I tell ya, it's all Bill Cosby's fault. For those of you too young to remember, Sledge Hammer was in the same time slot as the Cosby Show, which dominated the Nielsens at that time. My second favorite TV show is the A-Team.
I used to ride a 1982 Yamaha XJ400 Seca. But I blew the engine in December of 1997, so here I am without a bike. If you want to learn to ride, you should check with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. In Philadelphia, there is no excuse for not learning how to ride if you want to. MSF lessons are free. Not only that, they supply the bikes and the helmets. All you do is show up and participate. It doesn't get much easier than that. At the end of the safety course, they administer the official Pennsylvania driving test--if you pass, you get your Pennsylvania motorcycle license. And you get a 10% break on your insurance. Did I mention that there was no excuse for not learning how to ride a bike in Philadelphia?
